This is a totally new role that has been created due to the phenomenal growth and success with this high profile client in the e-Commerce space.
The purpose of the Associate Director for IT (e-Commerce Director/Software Development Director/Head of e-Commerce Software) role is to sit on the executive board of this high profile e-Commerce client giving technical direction and adding commercial value. The role will represent IT (Software Development, Database Architecture, Infrastructure, Support) on the board and will lead a high calibre e-Commerce IT and Development team (c30 people) driving through market leading e-Commerce products whilst taking ownership of surrounding infrastructure technology.
This role is key to shaping the IT strategy for the client, thus driving its future success and drive to be No1 in it's field, a truly outstanding opportunity.
Successful applicants will have excellent experience in the e-Commerce field, have lead an Software Development function (either .Net, C#, ASP.Net, VB.Net, Java, J2EE etc) with specific emphasis on e-Commerce, have a deep understanding of high availability issues with regards to B2C facing e-Commerce websites and have excellent knowledge of the infrastructure requirements to support such a demanding e-Commerce offering. Suitable applicants will come from a Head of Development, Software Director, Senior Software Manager, Head of Applications, Head of Architecture role or similar.
The applicant will have excellent stakeholder management experience, have experience interfacing at Director /Board level, be a dynamic individual with gravitas and an excellent man manager.
