MI Analyst, BI Analyst, SQL, London, up to £50K+
Management Information (MI)/ Business Information Analyst (BI) is required by Chase Zander's prestigious financial based client in the Greater London area. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced MI Analyst / BI Analyst to assist in the implementation of a Data Warehousing and Reporting strategy which will be the cornerstone to providing MI and operational reporting to the prestigious business.
Our client is currently implementing a major project to facilitate the availability of timely BI/ MI and Operational Reporting and therefore require an experienced MI Analyst / BI Analyst to facilitate this and take it forward. We are looking for experienced BI / MI Analysts with excellent knowledge SQL, Reporting, analytics and integration and those that have worked in business critical environments. Working with complex Concepts and business processes, this role will suit someone who is used to working with all levels and has excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical/non technical language and vice verse.
The role of the MI Analyst / BI Analyst will be to:
" Be accountable to the Data Warehousing Manager with regard to standards and scheduling of work, to deliver to overall priorities laid down by the MI Steering Committee chaired by the Finance Director.
" Close involvement with business stakeholders as well as end users to gather requirements.
" Deliver accurate report solutions to time and budget within agreed service level agreements. Provide the key interface to business users for the department with regard to information provision
" Provide a 'sanity check' of all MI requests to ensure the requests will lead to valuable, reliable output and that all overlaps and inefficiencies are investigated.
" Act as a quality analyst assessing the quality of proposed MI to ensure agreed standards are met.
" Candidate must have a proven track record of successful development/ MI reporting delivery, including data analysis and data warehouse/ mart build
" Advanced knowledge of transact SQL and database structures and Excel essential
" Well versed in one of the SQL Server elements (reporting services, analysis services or integration services)
" Exposure to a dashboard designing tool e.g. Cognos or Business Objects
